Local scouts march in St George's Day parade

The Alderley Edge St George's Day parade took place this afternoon. The Alderley District Scout Band marched from the Scout headquarters on Talbot Road to the Playing Fields on Chorley Hall Lane, where they linked up with other members of the local Scout Movement.

The full parade then marched from the Playing Fields down London Road to the service at St. Philip and St. James Church.

I was at St Phillips Church representing the Parish Council. It was really uplifting to see so many youngsters at the service. Some of the smaller ones carrying flags taller than themselves.
