Irish haute couturier Nicky Wallace launched his new menswear collection to an invitation-only audience at the Alderley Edge Hotel last Thursday, April 15th. His latest collection was shown as part of ‘an evening with Nicky Wallace’, in partnership with menswear retailer Norton Barrie, who he has been working with since June 2009.
Former England and Manchester Uniter striker Andy Cole was joined on the catwalk by Hollyoaks stars Ashley Taylor Dawson and Matt Milburn, young Coronation Street star Lucien Leon, Stockport County player Luca Havern and professional models Liam O'Dwyer and Dan Bufton, all of whom were modelling his “New Aristocrat” collection.
Classic menswear designer Nicky Wallace, who has dressed celebrities from George Michael and David Bowie to Manchester United defender Wes Brown, first made his name as one of the designers behind the ‘Miami Vice’ look of the eighties and is now concentrating on Italian made-to-measure from his Dublin base.
