Alderley Edge resident Charles Gaughan opened the doors of his new barbers shop this week, which he describes as "modern looking but a traditional gents barbers".
Charles has over 30 years experience as a barber but Trafford Road Barbers is his first venture since getting back on his feet following a car accident, which left him in a wheelchair for 5 years.
Charles has just moved to the village from Wilmslow with his wife Helen, who manages the Cancer Research shop on London Road, and has been delighted with his welcome. He said "Local residents have been very friendly, passers-by have asked me about the business and even helped me carry boxes in".
Trafford Road Barbers will be offering hot towel shaves and full gents grooming, using American Crew products. Charles is keen for people to just drop by so there's no need to book an appointment.
