Sean Wilson, who played Martin Platt in Coronation Street for 21 years, has undergone a radical career change - he now makes cheese.

Sean has set up the Saddleworth Cheese Company, which is committed to making handmade artisan cheese using only PR3 postcoded milk from the heart of the Trough of Bowland to form various cheese including Lancashire crumbly (Muldoons Picnic), Lancashire Creamy (Hows yer father) and Lancashire  Tasty (Mouth Almighty).

Sean Wilson will be hosting a dinner, along with Paul Heathcote at London Road Restaurant & Wine Bar. He will be presenting his cheeses and talking about his acting career and his move to cheese making.



The event takes place on Wednesday 21st April and the menu comprises of Sean’s cheeses, dishes include Salmon & smoked haddock fish pie with ‘Muldoons Picnic’ and Roast fillet of beef, braised oxtail & ‘Smelly Apeth’ on toast.


Tickets are priced at £30 per person, and for an extra £20 you can enjoy 4 glasses of wine chosen to match each course by our Head Sommelier Andrea Polaczek. Reserve your table online or call 01625 584163.
