The Ryleys are hosting a Charity event in aid of The Christie at the Festival Hall this Saturday. The Lollipop Fashion Show will be held in memory of their popular teacher Paul Wright and has been organised by close friend and colleague Annette Jacobsen.

Paul died suddenly on Saturday 2nd January 2010. He was 51 years old and passed away at The Christie Hospital, having bravely battled a short illness.

The Fashion Show will be compered by actress and tv presenter Denise Welch along with her husband, actor Tim Healy. Members of staff will be modelling ladies fashion from Apparel and pupils from The Ryleys and Alderley Edge Community Primary School will be modelling clothes from Ten Little Monkeys.

Paul’s wife Angelika will also be modelling in the show, local businesses from both Alderley Edge and Wilmslow have donated some fantastic prizes for both the auction and raffle. House of W will be doing all the hair and makeup for the children taking part.

The Fashion Show will take place on Saturday March 20th from 6-9pm at the Alderley Edge Festival Hall. A licensed bar and food from Granthams will be available throughout the evening. Tickets are priced £10 and selling out fast so should you wish to attend please contact The Ryleys on 01625 583241.

Our contact at The Ryleys confirmed this week that the Fashion Show had gone really well.

"Denise Welch did a marvellous job compering the whole evening, over £7000 was raised for the Christies and the parents, teachers and children who were modelling the clothes from Apparel and Ten little monkeys were superb."
