Masked men steal valuables and sentimental items

Three masked men stole jewellery, laptops and various other items from a property in the Macclesfield Road area of Alderley Edge two weeks before Christmas.

The occupants were out when the offenders smashed a patio door at 7.45pm on Thursday, 12th December.

Once inside they rifled through the house and fled with two pillowcases off one of the beds in the property, presumably to fill with their stolen goods.

The owner of the property said "Apparently they tried to gain entry to three other properties across from our property. They moved the CCTV on one of the other properties."

Adding "The forensics have some good leads and hopefully they will get caught soon. It is dreadful that these individuals can break into honest people's properties ransack the houses and steal people's valuables and sentimental items."

A police spokesperson said "At this stage no suspects have been identified and a number of enquiries are continuing to take place.

"Anyone who has any information is asked to contact Cheshire Police on 101 quoting IML 586952."
