Combine the expertise of Cheshire's answer to Bear Grylls, who's led many groups on far flung adventures around the world climbing challenging mountains, with a top counsellor connecting the mind, body and soul with nature, and you get Kite Adventures which offers a truly unique walking, well-being experience.

The Bramhall-based husband and wife exploring and mindfulness team, Pete and Fleur Boxall, have put their hearts and minds together to offer a calendar of adventure and off-the-beaten-track walking weekends, bringing together their vast experience and knowledge of the most beautiful areas of the UK, as well as sharing the profound effect nature can have on the mind, body and soul during their digital detox well-being weekends.

Whether it's exhilarating white water rafting in the Welsh mountains, zip wiring through the Peak District, stargazing in the dark skies of Northumberland, or a mindful well-being walking experience off-the-beaten-track in the Lake District, Kite Adventures offers something for all abilities who want to reconnect with the great outdoors and nature.

Pete, has always been an outdoor enthusiast and has endless experience as a scout leader, having taken groups on a variety of international and UK camps including scout adventure trips to Japan to climb Mount Fuji.

Pete commented: "Starting Kite Adventures has given me the opportunity to share my passion for walking, nature and adventure with others. With my scouting background, I've been likened to a Cheshire version of chief scout, Bear Grylls and I do share his no-fear sense of adventure."

He continued: "We make outdoor social adventure accessible to those who may not have the confidence, knowledge or time to create these experiences for themselves. Whether it's a guided walking weekend in the stunning Lake District or white-water rafting in North Wales, we provide a never to be forgotten experience with good food, a warm welcome and an environment that naturally brings people together be they solo travellers, couples or small groups."

Fleur is an accredited mental health practitioner and runs her own busy and well-respected counselling practice. She has always been drawn to nature and understands the powerful well-being benefits it can bring especially to those leading busy, hectic and stressful lives.

Fleur added: "We forget the WIFI, phone signal and nine-to-five on our special well-being weekends. With my background as a trained mental health counsellor I know from personal experience the benefit that being at one with nature can bring particularly living in Cheshire with such stunning scenery right on our doorstep. Our goal is to give those that come with us a fantastic and stimulating experience as well as a greater appreciation of the physical and mental health benefits the UK countryside offers."

Using their vast experience, the mother and father of five plan their activity weekends and day walks meticulously, taking great care to tailor each trip for the group walking with them as well as personally leading each of the groups. For those staying on weekend events they also share their cooking skills with guests to ensure a completely personal and first-class service.

Kite Adventures have launched a calendar of events for 2020 on their website including day walks, adventure activity weekends and peaceful well-being weekend trips. All are aimed to help people live happier and healthier lives by awakening a love of the great outdoors; wide open spaces, changing scenery, vast landscapes, open sky and nature at its very best.
