Teenager sets charity sights high

A 13-year-old schoolgirl aimed high with her first major fundraising challenge by climbing Mount Snowdon.

Sadie Sawer was joined by mum Nicole, plus family friends Katie and Annabelle Jordan, for their nine-hour adventure.

Sadie, a pupil at Alderley Edge School for Girls, raised £1,067 which she donated to East Cheshire Hospice.

Nicole, from Wilmslow, said: "Sadie is kind and loving, though she isn't the most sporty and wanted to undertake a challenge for charity.

"It was an amazing experience and we chose one of the longest trails up the mountain and were lucky we picked a beautiful day."

Sadie and Nicole are both ambassadors for Dream Beams, a charity which supports children and their donation will help fund the Hospice's Childhood Bereavement Service.
