Police issue dispersal order after reports of anti-social behaviour

Cheshire Police have issued a dispersal Order for an area of Wilmslow following reports of anti-social behaviour this evening (Saturday, 21st September).

Section 35 dispersal power can be used by police officers and designated PCSOs to deal with individuals aged 10 or over engaging in anti-social behaviour or crime and disorder. They may be excluded from an area for a period of up to 48 hours and a child aged under 16 can be removed to their home address or a place of safety.

A spokesperson Cheshire Police said "We received several reports of youths in the town, one has been detained and a number have since been removed from the area.

"Officers continue to stay in the area to prevent further incidents."
