Charity shop re-launches as 'designer boutique'

The Marie Curie shop on London Road has undergone a transformation over the past week to become the charity's first designer boutique in the North West.

From today, Thursday 2nd May, the shop will be stocking more luxurious fashion brands such as Karen Millen, DKNY and Hugo Boss. There will also be a range of brand-new, luxury handbags for sale.

As part of the transformation, the shop, which first opened in 2008, has received some cosmetic improvements too, including a new colour scheme, plus the addition of glass display cabinets and shelving to help showcase the premium items on sale.

Sue Watkins, shop manager at Marie Curie Alderley Edge, said: "We're really excited to be opening our doors once again and offering the people of Alderley Edge and the surrounding areas an improved shopping experience, plus the chance to find a real bargain amongst the many fabulous items we have on offer.

"It's very important for us that the shop continues to be a welcoming place for the community too, ensuring people can connect with the charity and learn more about how we care for people living with a terminal illness and their families.

"We're really looking forward to welcoming lots of new and returning customers to the shop over the coming weeks, and hearing what they think of our improvements."
