Supermarket hit by thieves twice over the weekend

A supermarket in the village has been targeted by thieves twice over the weekend.

Waitrose was burgled on Saturday 20th April and again on Monday 22nd April with alcohol having been taken on both occasions.

At around 3.10am on Saturday 20 April officers were called to reports of a burglary the store on the Parade.

An unknown person broke into the store by smashing a front window an once inside they stole a number of bottles of gin before fleeing the scene.

Two days later, at 11pm on Monday 22nd April, officers were called to reports of a second burglary at the same store. This time, an unknown man broke into the store by smashing a panel in the front door.

Once inside he stole a quantity of alcohol before fleeing the scene.

Enquiries into the incidents are ongoing and anyone with any information which may aid the investigation is asked to call Cheshire Police on 101 quoting IML379177.
