Kick start the 2019 May Fair celebrations with a 5k fun run

In the build up to one of the village's most popular community events, runners of all ages and abilities are invited to take part in the 2019 Alderley Edge May Fair 5K Fun Run.

The race will start in Alderley Edge village at 10am Saturday 18th May, ahead of the 'The May Fair Parade', and will follow a clearly marked out route that will include running down London Road, where the pavements will be lined with supporters to cheer them on to the finish line in the park.

The race is free to enter, however organisers are raising donations again for East Cheshire Hospice so there will be collection buckets available for donations runners collect their race number at the registration desk.

Gold, silver and bronze medals will be presented in the main stage in the park to the three males and female runners in each of the age categories.

Registration is now open and places are expected to fill up fast, so early registration is encouraged.

The May Fair theme this year is 'Space' to celebrate 50 years since the moon landings so participants are invited run in fancy dress.
