Getting into the Christmas spirit with festive fundraisers at Aldeli

At Aldeli we have really kicked off December with a great big start and have truly got into the Christmas spirit by hosting three charity inspired events this week.

Last Sunday if you were passing through Alderley Edge you won't have missed the retro feel of the Deli, surrounded by Chevrolet pick ups, VW Campervans and even a very rare customised Vauxhall Viva.

Well amongst the organised chaos and frivolity, together with The Reapers Car Club UK we held a breakfast special hot rod car meet up in aid of the Air Ambulance. We are thrilled to announce that we managed to raise over £1700 for the charity on the day, with money still coming in.

Moving from four wheels to two, with less testosterone and more sweat, last night we were privileged to be joined by French cycling brand "Ekoi". Models were displaying their wares on the Aldeli catwalk (trying not to go around in circles), with products ranging from jerseys, bib shorts to thermal jackets and helmets.

No doubt the piece de resistance had to be the guest appearance of two time winner of the French National Time Trial Championships, Pierre Latour. Pierre has steadily risen to the forefront of French cycling and last night was happy to hold a Q&A, translated by his girlfriend, with members of the audience.

The evening was dedicated to Duchenne, the muscular dystrophy disease, with the aim to raise both awareness and money for the charity.

Tomorrow we will continue both the festive and charitable cheer by hosting "Elf Day" for the Alzheimer's Society. All the staff will be unleashing our inner elves by dressing up and hoping to help beat dementia this Christmas. We will be holding a bake sale with profits going directly to the charity so please if you around tomorrow, or having a coffee with friends, pop down and check it out, even if it is just to have a giggle at our ridiculous elf ears.
