The 11th Annual Cheshire Built in Quality Awards were handed out last week to companies who have constructed new buildings that are regarded to be of a particularly high standard. They recognise the work of contractors, agents and architects.

There were seven major category winners including MH Stainton Building Contractors who won Best Domestic Extension for their work on East Court, Beechfield Road in Alderley Edge, pictured above.

Founder and owner Michael Stainton has been producing high quality residential developments for over three decades. Michael said "We have won a string of "Built in Quality" awards during the past 4/5 years. Last year we won both Best One Off House/Conversion and the Supreme award for Oak Tree House - just in front of the Alderley Edge Hotel."

Cheshire East Councillor Jamie Macrae, Cabinet member with responsibility for prosperity said: "Awards to celebrate the achievements of those in building industry are vital. It is a tough, competitive market for anyone in construction at the current time. This is much deserved recognition for our local construction companies.

"My congratulations go to M H Stainton and all the winners from across Cheshire for their success. I look forward to seeing what further achievements can be made in the next 12 months."

East Court is currently on the market at £1,395,000 through Gascoigne Halman and Andrew Nowell.

Having recently visited a property built by MH Stainton in Mottram I can only concur. The quality of the build and finishing is top draw and it was fantastic to see such attention to detail.
