The garden waste collection service in Cheshire East will be suspended for 10 weeks this winter to cut costs and rationalise resources.

Cheshire East Council's wholly-owned environmental services company Ansa will suspend collections of garden waste from Sunday, December 2nd, through to Sunday, February 10th, 2019.

Residents are asked to check the council's online calendar for their last collection of 2018 and their first collection of 2019.

Any green waste during this period can be taken to one of the council's household recycling centres.

The interruption applies to green waste only. Collections of normal household waste, including recyclables, will continue as normal.
