Apple Distinguished

Alderley Edge School for Girls is delighted to announce that it has been recognised as an Apple Distinguished School for 2018–2021. This is a key milestone for the School's Technology Enhanced Learning Strategy which began in 2014.

Apple Distinguished Schools are centres of innovation, leadership and educational excellence that use Apple products to inspire creativity, collaboration and critical thinking. They showcase innovative uses of technology in learning, teaching and the school environment, and have documented results of academic accomplishment.

Headmistress Helen Jeys commented: "Being awarded Apple Distinguished School status highlights our success as an innovative and inspiring learning environment. Our vision is to create independent, digitally-literate learners through teaching experiences which are relevant, personalised, inspiring and memorable and as a school, we are working hard to establish ourselves as an internationally-recognised centre of technological teaching excellence."

Jamie Chadwick, Director of Technology Enhanced Learning added: "The principles that govern Apple's selection criteria fit neatly with our own vision of innovation, creativity and collaboration. Becoming an Apple Distinguished School gives us a unique opportunity to join a group of world class institutions who share our passion for technology enhanced learning and forms the bedrock of the next phase of our technology strategy. We look forward to being able to join, learn and contribute to this worldwide network of cutting-edge educational establishments."
