Two cars collide at busy junction

At around 8pm on Monday 3rd September officers were called to reports of a two vehicle collision at the junction of Heyes Lane and Davey Lane.

The collision involved a red Vauxhall Corsa and a white Toyota Auris.

Ambulance attended the scene as a precautionary measure, although non of the occupants are believed to have suffered any serious injuries.

The incident was cleared by 9.30pm.

Glad to hear there weren't any serious injuries . Having lived on Davey Lane for a number of years we use this part of the lane on a daily basis . Lost count of the near misses at the top and bottom junctions , as well as the narrow stretch in the middle . Cars parked at the bottom certainly hinder vision when wishing to turn right onto Heyes Lane . With the increased traffic in that area at the moment I'm afraid to say that a collision was almost inevitable .
