Councillor Craig Browne has confirmed that Mottram Road has been included next year's carriageway patching programme.

Patching work will be carried out during the 2018/19 financial year, along the length of Mottram Road from Alderley Edge into Mottram St Andrew and up to the point where Alderley Road starts.

Councillor Browne said "As this news has only just been announced, I will give an update on the likely timescale for the work once I receive more information."

Further thoughts on Davey Lane which is now handling excessive amounts of fast traffic and much of the Lane has no pavements!

The suggestion to put speed restraints would be very sensible as well as restricting access to very large vehicles as in certain parts it is not possible for two cars to pass.

If the work is to continue for some time consideration will need to be given to the hazards faced by school children and mothers who use it regularly for access to the schools.
