Fire crews were called to a report of a fire in the open at a farm on Chelford Road in Alderley Edge.
They arrived at around 8.30pm on Tuesday, 17th July, to discover that it was a case of controlled burning that had been left unattended.
Firefighters extinguished the fire with a hose reel jet and were in attendance for under an hour.
