Following yesterday's news that Victors is replacing the Achemist, we can confirm that a new all-day eatery will also be opening in the centre of the village early next month, complete with a late bar offering.

Wife of ex premiership ace Emile Heskey, Chantelle Heskey and business partners and friends, Peter Hunter and James Golden are opening 'Parea' on Thursday 5th July, in the premises previously occupied by Blue Lobster.

In the Greek culture Parea is a group of friends who regularly gather together to share their experiences about life, their philosophies, values and ideas and this is the concept behind the three friends' partnership.

The new restaurant and bar will be spread over two floors and be able to accommodate 120 covers at any one sitting. The vision of its new owners was to create an environment where nobody wants to leave and every aspect from food to furniture finishes are instagramable.

Parea will serve breakfast from early morning complete with vegan and gluten free choices through to lunch and dinner off their Mediterranean menu. There are also a couple of special announcements to make over the coming months in regards to the team behind the menu.

Chantelle Heskey said "Since having my fourth baby, Mendez... I have found it increasingly difficult to maintain a healthy eating lifestyle and I know many other women find it hard too. If you've been training you don't want to feel guilty when having lunch and many places don't offer a very wide selection when it comes to being healthy."

James Golden said "We wanted to keep our menu options simple but not be boring, all three of us have big personalities and our focus has to be on the fun. Chantelle and I have worked together closely for many years with charity events and more recently with Pink Tiger, so being able to offer the live entertainment to people within one venue all week will be fantastic."

Peter Hunter added "We are just very excited for Parea to launch having spent well over 12 months searching for the perfect location, when we saw this property we knew it was the perfect spot for us!"

Certainly looks very colourful. Not sure whether it will retain its lustre once it starts raining. My heart sank a little when I heard one of the owners describe its major opportunity as the 'photographic qualities of the cocktails' but good luck to them. Hope they remember that ultimately its about content not style......and with Victors opening next door they are going to have their work cut out.

Not sure what the Alderley in Bloom group make of the gaudy display of artificial flowers! I would have preferred real plants in keeping with their efforts which reflect most peoples choice.

Cheers for that son of Leicester City, Emile Heskey. Get some real flowers though.

Can't wait to see an Iceland and a B&M Bargains on either side.
