Pranks galore at the library this summer

SRC 2018 - four kids 2 with banner and book display

The Summer Reading Challenge is returning to Alderley Edge Library this week, encouraging children to keep up their reading during the holidays.

Organised by the Reading Agency, The Summer Reading Challenge runs every year during the summer holidays encouraging children to read any six library books of their choice and collect stickers and incentives along the way to encourage them to keep going.

This year's theme is 'Mischief Makers', celebrating the 80th anniversary of the much-loved comic, Beano and the stickers contain clues to help the children to find the hidden treasure on their special Beanotown map!

The Summer Reading Challenge will be starting on Saturday 7th July and children can sign up any time from that morning onwards.
