Residents at Brookview Care Home have officially kicked off their month of Christmas festivities with a creative start - participating in a Christmas art workshop on the 13th December, followed by some creative art therapy on the 14th.

The art workshops will be the first of many Xmas treats for the home, as staff at Brookview have planned lots of opportunities for residents to experience yule tide joy.

'Musical Moments' will take residents on a journey back to the Christmas classics on 15th December, followed by Robert Burton performing a Christmas concert on the 16th.

The festive soundtrack continues with traditional carols with Anthony Lye on 17th December and on the 18th December artisan chocolatier Oliver Dunn will host a chocolate party, adding some sweetness to the festive magic!

Christmas Holy Communion and Carols on the 19th bring a touch of Christmas tradition to the Bupa Care home and then Frankly Magic Show will sparkle and surprise on the 20th December.

Children from Wilmslow High School will add to the jam packed festiveness with a coffee and carols morning on 21stThursday and the celebrations continue on the 23rd with a concert with Colette Todd.

Christmas Eve will, naturally, be celebrated in style with cocktails and carols while Santa gets to work.

Maureen Southern, Home Manager said: "Brookview is like a family. The residents thoroughly enjoy our activities which include local entertainers and visits from the nearby school and December is going to be a real celebration. In the run up to Christmas, we'll host a range of events, ensuring there's something to bring festive cheer to everyone."

The home, which is located in Alderley Edge, boasts great connections with the local community and provides a variety of nursing and residential care, including dementia and young physically disabled care.
