A year six pupil from Alderley Edge School for Girls is set to represent the region in the national swimming championships.
Netball captain Rhianna Donatien qualified to represent the North at the ISA Swimming Gala which was held on Saturday 18th November.
At the ISA, Rhianna achieved a silver medal in her backstroke event and qualified as one of the fastest swimmers in freestyle.
The national event will take place on Sunday 21 January at the Olympic pool in London.
Bridget Howard, Junior School Headmistress, said "All of AESG wish Rhianna the best of luck in the nationals and are looking forward to hearing about her day swimming in this prestigious event."
