Police were called to an address in Nether Alderley today (Tuesday, 27th June) following reports that threats had been made to a delivery man.
Firearms officers also attended the incident on Sand Lane at 12.26pm and the road was closed for a short period of time as a precautionary measure.
On arrival police arrested a 36-year-old man on suspicion of affray and he remains in custody at the time of writing.
