Maxipotential's Wizard Walk is returning to Alderley Edge for its second year on Fathers Day, June 18th.

The inaugural event in 2016 was a huge success with 310 wizards, which succeeded in creating a new Guinness World Record for the 'Largest Gathering of People Dressed as Wizards'.

So this year organisers are aiming higher and shooting for 500!

Alderley Edge Community Primary School are hosting this fundraiser for local boy Max Bailey and organisers will provide the cloaks and hats and walkers packs along with surprises including managed activities for the kids so the parents can chill out for the day and enjoy the inflatable pub, catering and stalls.

Max's mum Saz Bailey said "Children are invited to enter our competition to write the spell that walkers collect on route. Hundreds of fellow Order of Alderley wizards will be chanting it for a magical happening! The author of the winning spell may then lead the chant and will be written into the Order of Alderley chronicles!"

The event starts at 10am when walkers receive their packs, including a cloak and hat to transform into their wizardly greatness. Then it's all fun and games until around 2pm.

For more information, to download the spell competition instructions and reserve your wizard pack visit www.wizardwalk.org or call Saz Bailey on 07791 100968.
