English comedian, television presenter and actor Jason Manford is bringing his Comedy Club to Alderley Edge.

Manford's Comedy Club will be launching a brand new night at the Festival Hall on Friday 23rd June which will feature four comedians who are well-known names on both the comedy circuit and television and are all personally chosen by Jason.

Manford's Comedy Club was launched by comedian Jason Manford and his brother Colin just over two years ago. The idea was to bring comedians from the UK circuit to small towns and cities across the country for a night of live comedy.

Jason told us that the aim of the pop up shows is to put top quality comedians in front of local audiences at a good price, so that a good night out doesn't have to cost the earth.

The Manfords team behind the event had this to say "We are very excited about this new venue. As soon as we met the manager Catherine and saw the stunning venue, we knew straight away that Manfords had found a new home in Cheshire."

Tickets priced £15 are available online. Doors open at 7pm and the show starts at 8pm.

Went to the Garrick Theatre Altrincham a few weeks back, when t popped up there ( obviously without JM ) ...I know this is subjective, but from 4 acts 1 was v v funny 2 funny, 1 died a painful death... which was painfully funny... All in all it should be a good night, and great to have it available on our doorstep ... !

Great night; 3 good acts and the compere was funny as well. First time my wife and I have been to an event in the new hall as well and love the venue. Didn't realise, until we sat down, that Jason wouldn't actual be performing himself (his name mentioned numerous times and photos of his face at every turn sort of inferred he would be), my wife looked on his twitter page and he'd commented he was having a film night in with his kids. Still well worth going and look forward to similar events.
