Lunchtime concert promises a smorgasbord of delightful music

Alderley Edge Methodist Church will welcome four young students from Chetham's School of Music for their lunchtime concert on Wednesday, 15th March.

Rebecca Rouch on the flute will perform a Telemann Fantasia and the first movement from Poulenc's Flute Sonata and Juliana Antczak will perform a movement from Chopin's cello sonata. Whilst Molly Cochrane is singing popular, well-known songs by Bach, Schubert, Grieg and Quilter and Nils Jones will bring the recital to a grand finale with Debussy's Violin Sonata in G minor.

Jean Walker said "The programme promises to provide a lovely mix of instruments and musical styles and will no doubt match the extremely high standard of performance that we have come to expect from Chets."

The recital begins at 1pm and will last for approximately 45 minutes. Admission is by programme is £5.00, available at the door and light lunches will be served from 12 noon.
