Interiors shop announces closure after 15 years of trading

The owners of an interiors and gift shop have announced they will be closing at the end of January after trading in the village for 15 years.

The Lavender Tree is a family home business established by sisters, Sarah McCall and Emma Bolton, on Brook Lane in 2001 and supported by their younger sister Cathryn and a team of close friends.

Emma and Sarah said "It has not been an easy decision, as for the last 15 years we have been blessed with such a fantastic and passionate team and so many loyal customers.

"Although The Lavender Tree will not have a physical presence on the high street, we are not disappearing. We will be continuing with our interior services and intend to have regular pop up shops."

They added "We would love you to be a part of our new adventure in which our business will continue to be imaginative, inspiring, friendly and professional."

So sad a demise.

Might we know the reason/s why the closure has to occur?

I shall very much miss the LT. It's been my favourite present buying destination for years. The team created such a beautiful little store. Wishing the new LT all the best for continued business in whatever form that takes.

Best of luck for the future for LT. It is a great shop with some great products and service ethic. Its good to hear it isn't disappearing completely and will 'pop up' now and again. Although I did always wonder about its location, limited footfall etc, oh and the parking, but probably best not mention 'parking' again in Alderley Edge, it tends to raise blood pressure.

Good luck again for the future.
