Children at Nether Alderley Primary School took part in a festive charity "Elf Run" early this month to raise funds for East Cheshire Hospice.
They collected sponsorship for running laps of the school field, raising £1838 in the process which they presented to the Hospice this week.
Sports captain Aimee who organised the event said "It was a great success, and we managed to raise a lot of money."
Headteacher Mr Richard Craven said "We are proud to support the important work that the Hospice does and well done to all our children for taking the time to think of others at this time of year."
