Kicking off a month of celebrations, residents at Brookview care home in Alderley Edge will enjoy an afternoon of carol singing on Wednesday, 14th December, with local choirs from Alderley Edge and Alderley Edge School for Girls.

The Alderley Edge Community Choir will be the first of many guests to bring festive cheer to the care home during the Christmas period, as the residents will be joined by The Cheshire Craft Workshop, The Salvation Army Brass Band and local chocolatier Oliver Dunn, for a host of seasonal activities throughout the month.

Merriments at Bupa-run Brookview will range from a brass band performance and pottery painting to a mouth-watering chocolate party, offering residents the chance to take part in as many or as few events as they please.

The care home prides itself on its around the clock expert care and friendly environment, where residents are encouraged to pursue their own interests and due to the range of activities that take place, are often tempted to try something new.

Brookview's 12 days of Christmas, which promises a different seasonal performance or activity each day in the lead up to Christmas, will end a busy social calendar for 2016.

Maureen Southern, Home Manager at Bupa's Brookview care home said: "Brookview is like a family. The residents thouroughly enjoy our activities which include days out and local entertainers, and December is going to be a real celebration.

"In the run up to Christmas, we'll host a range of events, ensuring there's something to bring festive cheer to everyone."
