Promotional Feature

Local graphic design business, The Great Brunel Railway Company, has created a new poster featuring 16 different views of Alderley Edge. All profits from the sale of the poster will be donated to the Friends of the Festival Hall to be used to improve facilities at the Hall.

Geoff Hall - the designer of the poster explains: "I wanted to find a way of raising funds which would also encourage people to go out and look at the beautiful buildings and sights that are all around us in Alderley Edge."

To make it more interesting there is also a competition. The winner will be the person who identifies all 16 locations correctly. (In the event of a tie it will be the first name drawn out of all the correct entries when the competition closes on 31st March 2017)

Each poster comes with an answer sheet and an A4 size copy of the poster to carry when you're out and about in the village.

Posters are available – framed or unframed – in two sizes. Large ones are 84 x 59cm (approx. 34" X 24") and Medium are 59 X 42cm (approx. 24" X 16"). The Large ones cost £80 framed and £40 unframed. The Medium posters cost £60 framed and £30 unframed.

The winner will be announced on 14th April 2017. They will win a unique one-off framed poster of a subject of their choice. Geoff explains: "I am often asked to create special posters to mark birthdays, anniversaries and retirements. So this will be a chance for the winner to commission something that will be unique to them".

Even if you don't want to buy a full-size poster you can still take part. For just £5 you can buy an A4 copy of the poster and enter our competition for a bottle of Prosecco - kindly donated by Granthams of Alderley Edge.

You can buy posters at the Festival Hall where they are also on display, or by calling Geoff Hall on 01625 581321. Or you can go online at the website of The Great Brunel Railway Company and order there.

Footnote: The Great Brunel Railway Company will donate all profits from their sale to The Friends of the Festival Hall for the sole purpose of improving amenities there.
