Firefighters from Wilmslow and Bollington rescued a horse from a ditch near Alderley Edge this afternoon.
One fire engine from Wilmslow along with the animal rescue unit and a supporting fire engine from Bollington were called to a field off Knutsford Road in Chorley just after 11am on Wednesday, 28th September, where a horse was stuck in a ditch.
A vet was called to sedate the animal whose hind legs were stuck. Firefighters and the animal rescue team were then able to release the horse.
