With the summer holidays over the flu vaccine season is almost here.
Alderley Edge Medical Practice will be providing flu vaccine clinics on three successive Saturday mornings at their new facilities on Talbot Road.
These clinics on Saturday 1st, 8th and 15th of October will be staffed by reception, nurses and doctors to ensure that we can vaccinate everyone who qualifies for vaccination.
Senior GP Partner Dr H E Thompson said "You are entitled to free vaccination if you are over 60, or are in any of the at risk groups- pregnancy, asthma and lung disease, diabetes, heart disease, chronic kidney disease, neurological disease including Parkinsons, are a Carer for someone who is at risk if you are ill, and any other long term disease."
Dr Thompson added "Last winter we had a relatively low incidence of flu, this winter we could have the opposite."
