A Level students in Cheshire East have once again chalked up impressive results that are above the national average.
The Borough's 1,526 students received their results on Thursday, 18th August, and they have again achieved a pass rate of 99 per cent, which is above the national average of 98 per cent.
The breakdown of grades shows that the proportion of students achieving grades A* to A was 26.4 per cent, which is higher than the proportion nationally and 54 per cent achieved an A* to B grade.

Additionally, Alderley Edge and Wilmslow students were among The King's School's top A Level students.
Ella Denny, 18, from Alderley Edge got three A grades and will now study Psychology at Leeds. Thomas Andresen, 18, also from Alderley Edge got an A* and two A grades and will now read Chemical Engineering at Birmingham whilst Karina Chopra from Wilmslow got three A grades and is going to read Law at Warwick.
Other notable achievements from local students include Henry Vardon, 18, from Wilmslow, who secured 3A*s in Biology, Chemistry and Maths. The Manchester Grammar School pupil sail "I'm over the moon with my results. I was a little hesitant about the outcome so I'm extremely happy. I'll be studying medicine at Birmingham university and I'm very much forward to my future there."
Further success stories from the school include Oscar Barnes from Alderley Edge, who secured 4A*s in Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Russian and Sivesh Sukumar from Wilmslow who achieved 3A*s in Chemistry, Maths and Physics plus an A in Further Maths.
Councillor Liz Durham, Cabinet member in charge of children and families, said: "This year's exam results, once again, are extremely impressive and I congratulate all the sixth-formers on their achievements.
"I'm sure it has been an anxious time for students and their families as they await the result of years of hard work. May I offer my thanks to the parents, teachers, school staff and governors for all their support and encouragement over the past few years.
"I am particularly pleased to celebrate the continuing high number of top grades for all learners, which reflect the drive to achieve the highest grades possible and maximise potential.
"I wish our young people all the very best for the future, whether they are continuing their studies into further or higher education, apprenticeships or putting their first foot on the ladder in the work place.
"The Council is working with its arm's length Skills and Growth Company to help ensure young people consider an apprenticeship as a clear route to a rewarding career once they receive their results."
