Wilmslow town centre will once again be buzzing with excitement on Saturday, 24th September, when its streets are transformed in to a hotbed of luxury high-end cars and superbikes.

The Wilmslow Motor Show is like no other, a one day outdoor pop up motor show with displays of prestige vehicles, supercars, superbikes as well as boats from some of the finest names.

For the first time ever, Wilmslow Motor Show will welcome Chester Harley Davidson who will be displaying their custom made bike, created specifically for the show, and organisers are pleased to announce Williams Motorcycles will also be attending with a double stand.

Once again Sporting Bears Motor Club will enable visitors to experience the drive of their life in an Aston Martin, Ferrari or Bentley in return for a small donation to The Children's Adventure Farm Trust.

The event, which was set up in 2012, is organised by the Wilmslow Business Group and supported by Wilmslow Town Council who expect it to bring over 30,000 visitors to the centre of Wilmslow providing a huge boost to the local economy.

Catherine Mackenzie, chairman of the Wilmslow Business Group, said "The Motor Show is a great family day out, bringing real vibrancy to the town centre. This will be the fourth Motor Show that the Business Group has delivered to the town and we plan on this one being even better than previous ones."

Steve Kennedy of Mailboxes etc, who was the brainchild of the Motor Show back in 2012 commented: "We get a real buzz from the day which is a win-win for all involved – the retailers, restaurants and bars see an increase in business; the dealers get to showcase their vehicles; and the town gets a great day out."

The event is free to attend and is taking place 10am until 4pm in Wilmslow town centre, along Grove Street, Bank Square and Alderley Road service road.

"30,000 visitors to the centre of Wilmslow providing a huge boost to the local economy." And they are going to park where ?

It's the 4th show Jon, places like the High School donate their parking space too, it all works, however this is an event where the average visitor spends about 90 mins in town (and they spend big time too) so its a rolling attendance. By about 13:00 as many are leaving as are coming in, by sheer fluke it just works that way. We do cause a back up on the by-pass and altrincham road back to M56 junction, but working with the police and town council and cheshire east, means it all works ok.

The Wilmslow Business Group delivers this, based on a concept by me, and it works hugely all round. We're talking about 90k incremental visitors and over £1m incremental revenue to retail from the last three shows. The dealers love it, cars are sold and the show is now recognised nationally. Its free for the public. Its a win win in so many ways, we just want people to support it, engage with it and get inspired to come up with more projects for the area. Its that simple. Just support people doing stuff Jon.

I'm quite visible doing projects for the town, as are most of my friends, i have a shop on Water Lane, none of us hide behind any projects we do, and they are not always perfect, but hell, do we try!

Great reply Steve... Jon maybe new to the area!? This is a great event and all credit to you and your friends for organising it. We have never had a problem getting to and from the event from Alderley as we choose to hop onto the train for the 2 minute trip into Wilmslow. Simples
