Alderley Edge Union Club will be hosting a beer festival this month in support of Armed Forces Day.

The eighth annual Alderley Edge Micro Beer Festival on Saturday 25th June will be raising money for Walking with the Wounded.

Terry Bowes said "Members of this charity will be attending and hopefully putting on a display of various kit."

Once again George Borowski will be hosting all the entertainment, which will include performances by John Brindley, The Purpletones and Over Alderley Brass Band.

As usual there will be a wide selection of ales from local micro breweries, some ciders and a barbecue.

A children's entertainer will also provide two hours of party games, dancing, parachute play and visits by Spiderman, Elsa and Kung-fu Panda, including photo opportunities, from 4pm. There will also be a children's fancy dress competition, with a military theme.

The Alderley Edge Micro Beer Festival will be open from 12noon until midnight. Entrance is £3 per person and includes a glass.
