Burglars target two flats with communal entry

Police are appealing for witnesses to two burglaries that occurred during the morning of Monday, 21st March.

One property on Lynton Lane, Alderley Edge and another on Bolleyn Wood Court in Lacey Green were broken into.

Sgt Angie Coppock said "On both occasions the offenders have targeted a flat with a communal entry. There has been no signs of forced entry to either the communal or flat doors. It would appear that a credit card type implement has been used to "pop" the yale locks."

A third burglary occurred on Wednesday, 23rd March between 6pm and 6.15pm on Maplewood Road in Wilmslow.

Sgt Coppock said "Offenders have gained entry to the rear of the property by climbing a fencing and smashing through a rear ground floor window. Once inside offenders have stolen a set of car keys from within and have then taken a vehicle parked on the driveway."

Cheshire Police are active progressing all lines of enquiry. They encourage residents to be vigilant and report suspicious incidents and or activity in their area to the Police via 101. You can also provide information anonymously to Cimestoppers on 0800 555111.
