A comedy evening hosted by Alderley Edge Union Club has raised £600 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Actor, television presenter and radio broadcaster Ted Robbins entertained approximately 150 guests at the Stevens Street club on Saturday, 19th March.
Terry Bowes, Secretary of Alderley Edge Union Club, said "It was a fantastic night. Ted Robbins is one of the funniest blokes I've seen, he had everyone roaring with laughter.
"He mingled with everyone and served at the bar. A really nice man with a lovely wife and family and we're looking forward to having him back again."
The raffle and food also proved popular with the curry, chilli and corned beef hash all selling out, in return for a £2 donation, and the top raffle prize of a Club Membership was won by Sam Hockenhull.
