Straight from the horse's mouth

I say chaps, sorry to interject but that little Dogfather character is of this week and I wanted to advise you of rather splendid event on Friday, March 11th.

It's a frightfully good show on behalf of Animal Support Volunteers at Morley Green Club in Wilmslow. A host of top-notch nags will be racing to help pets in need and you can enjoy a jolly good fish and chip supper and have a snifter at the bar.

I have my eye on a little blonde filly in the third so I need to impress before some bounder lures her away.
All the proceeds will go to helping animals in need. In fact a lot more than that as the volunteers will be adding their own money to the pot along with donations from generous sponsors.

Animal Support Volunteers have a couple of horses to care for (obviously not of my outstanding bloodline), a field-full of goats, a collection of needy farm animals, dozens of cats and a few dogs in need of assistance.

They all need love, food, shelter and veterinary care. Love comes free but the rest is rather expensive. Your support will really help these needy animals.

I intend to trot along around 7pm to check out the talent.

If you would like to join the fun but don't have anyone to accompany you worry not. You will be among friends and that Dogfather chappie will be on hand to look after you.

First race at 7-30pm so you should be home and tucked up in your stable by eleven.
I, of course, will have my binoculars trained on that little lady stepping out in the third.

It promises to be a Top Notch affair.
