Brownies behind bars

A group of 7 to 10 years old girls found themselves locked up during a visit to Wilmslow Police Station on Thursday, 11th February.

The 4th Alderley Brownies visited the local station as part of their Crime Prevention badge.

Liz Horrocks who accompanied the girls said "They loved trying handcuffs, being shut in a cell (for about 30 seconds), seeing how the police van siren and lights worked and so on!"

The 4th Alderley Brownies are looking to recruit new girls at the moment so if you know any of girls aged between 7 and 10 years old who would like to become a Brownie, they should contact the leader, Pat Gorton, on 01625 586313, or email her.

The 4th Alderley Brownies meet on Wednesday evenings, from 5pm to 6.30pm at St Phillip's parish rooms.
