Recording studio plans for extension

DSCN1671

A recording studio has applied to extend their Wilmslow Road premises.

Castle Rock has submitted a planning application for a two storey rear extension along with a single storey rear conservatory.

The floor space of the existing, and original building is 446m2. The proposed extension, including conservatory, would have a floor space of 156m2 and represents a 35% increase in the size of the original building.

The proposed extension would be located at the rear of the building and would be partly visible from Wilmslow Road. On the ground floor the extension would make provision for a new staircase, lift, staff room, offices, toilets, store room and conservatory. At first floor level the accommodation would include the stairs and lift, a store room and two small rehearsal rooms.

The scheme also includes alterations to the car park. The site is currently served by a single access point on to Wilmslow Road with parking at the front of the property for 15 cars, including disabled parking and secure cycle parking. The access would remain as existing and the car parking arrangements would be modified to provide a further 6 parking spaces.

The planning application can be viewed on the Cheshire East Council website by searching for planning reference 15/5581M. The deadline for submitting comments is 27th January and a decision is expected to be made by 15th February.
