Car stolen from Crescent Road crashed on A34

Police are appealing for witnesses to a burglary at a semi detached property on Crescent Road.

The incident occurred between 11pm on Thursday 19th and 1.45am on Friday, 20th November. It is believed the offenders gained entry via the unlocked closed front door and took car keys from a key stand right next to the door, or they used an implement to hook the car keys from the key stand.

A white and black Mini Cooper Countryman was then stolen from the drive. Nothing else was taken in the burglary.

Sgt Angela Coppock said "At 01:45 on 20/11 a report was made to the Police that the vehicle had collided into hedges/a tree at the junction of the A34 and the A555 and the occupants had decamped. The Police attended and the vehicle was recovered."

The occupants of the vehicle have not been traced.
