Police issue warning following spate of sneak in burglaries

burglaries

Police are advising residents to keep their windows and doors locked following a number of recent sneak in burglaries in the Alderley Edge and Chorley area, and off the Dean Row Road area in Wilmslow.

Residents are advised to check that all doors and windows are properly closed and locked even when you are in the house, leave lights or a radio on when you go out and not to leave car keys on view.

Additional advice includes not leaving side gates open, not leaving windows open at night and keeping ladders out of sight.

A police spokesperson said "Please consider registering your property on www.immobilise.com so that if it is stolen and recovered by the Police it can then be returned to you, and also download free tracking software onto mobile phones, laptops and tablets."

If anyone has any information about criminal activities taking place, please contact the Wilmslow Beat Managers at Wilmslow Police Station on 101 or contact Crimestoppers on 0800555111.
