In the early hours of this morning we were lucky enough to be able to see a supermoon eclipse.
Above are some great pictures kindly sent to us by Lee Carver.
A supermoon occurs when a full moon, or a new moon, coincides with the moon being at its closest point to Earth, meaning it appeared 14% larger.
The lunar eclipse, which made the moon appear red, occurred when the moon moved into the Earth's shadow.
The last time a supermoon coincided with an eclipse was in 1982 and it will not occur again until 2033.
