Friends of the Park will be at the Parish Plan public meeting next week and are keen to update you on their progress with the cafe.
Apart from receiving continued support for the idea and having resolved outstanding matters with Cheshire East the group already have someone who is interested in running the cafe. The person more than meets the strict criteria that the Friends stipulated and envisaged at the start of the process; providing a local, sustainable business with minimal impact on existing concerns. It is envisaged that other applications will be received.
Additionally, the group have managed to enlist the help of a Manchester company to draw up plans for the building and liaise with planners when appropriate. As importantly, two well known, major companies have added their support to making the cafe a reality.
The group have also made progress with getting the public lavatories opened on a regular basis and negotiations are continuing with both Cheshire East and the Parish Council on this.
