Plans are well underway for the Alderley Edge and Wilmslow Beer & Wine Festival which promises to be a great day out for the whole family.

Lindow Cricket Club will be hosting the free event on Saturday, 26th September, and the line up is impressive, with over 40 local cask ales, ciders and perries available in the Festival Tent, along with a range of world wines.

The Market Co, organisers of Wilmslow's Artisan Market, is making sure there will be plenty of fantastic food on offer from some of the most original street food companies in the North West and The Yard in Alderley Edge will be organising all the live music from the Festival Stage.

The day starts kicks off at 12pm and will run until 10pm with plenty to do for all ages. Local sports clubs have been invited to come along and showcase their sports to younger festival goers who will be able to try out anything from tennis and rugby to lacrosse and cricket, and everyone is encouraged to bring along their picnic rugs and deckchairs and enjoy the entertainment.

Confirmed artists include Maggie Thompson, The blue Yellows, Isabella Crowther, Liam McClair, Drew Selby, Sadie Pickering, Kimmy Beatbox, Sam Burrows, Ewan Sim and Catherine Taylor Dawson Duo.

David Kendrick, Chairman of Lindow Cricket Club said, "We're really looking forward to hosting this event which will have something for everyone. It's about time Wilmslow had its own beer festival – and we're delighted that it's taking place at Lindow."

Denise Valente of the Market Co said, "We're really pleased to be working with Lindow Cricket Club to deliver a new event for Alderley Edge & Wilmslow and we're sure it will become a regular fixture on the local calendar."
