Charity to close its Alderley Edge shop

A charity shop which opened 17 months ago is planning to relocate.

The North West Air Ambulance Charity shop which opened at 55 London Road in February 2014 will be closing in a few months.

Fiona Morris, Chief Executive of the North West Air Ambulance Charity, said: "We can confirm that we will be vacating our current store in Alderley Edge in October. We are looking for alternative premises in the area and will update our volunteers and supporters as soon as we secure a site."

Brooklyn Holdings Ltd has submitted a planning application for the remodelling of the retail premises, the addition of a three storey rear extension and a new painted timber shopfront.

The premises is used for retail on the ground floor, with a two storey apartment above.

55 London Road is currently being advertised to let for £40,000 per annum.

The planning application can be viewed on the Cheshire East Council website by searching for planning reference 15/3355M. The deadline for submitting comments is 13th August and a decision is expected to be made by 16th September.
