Pre-school friends support Charlotte's wish to walk

The children at Alderley Edge Pre-school took part in a sponsored obstacle course last week to help raise money for their friend Charlotte Taylor.

Charlotte is 3 years old and has quadriplegic cerebral palsy. Her family and friends are trying to raise £80,000 so Charlotte can have an operation, which is only available in America, to help her sit and walk by herself.

The children all completed five laps of the obstacle course and raised nearly £600.

Sam Higgins Pre-school Manager said "It was a wonderful afternoon, the children who took part all had a great time and it was lovely to see the support for Charlotte from our families at pre-school."

Charlotte's mum Julie said "We are so incredibly grateful to all Charlotte's friends and their families at Alderley Edge Pre-school that have taken Charlotte into their hearts, offered their support and helped us raise a fantastic £600 towards her 'wish to walk' campaign. Our hope is to give Charlotte every opportunity to fulfil a life as independently as possible."

Charlotte's parents are currently fundraising through a registered charity called The Tree of Hope. Click here to read more about Charlotte
