Pupils at Alderley Edge Community Primary School have been getting arty creating fabulous windbreaks for their forthcoming seaside-themed Summer Fair. Each class worked on a different seaside design ranging from sea life to ice creams to add to the beach atmosphere on Saturday, 18th July.

The fair has been organised by the PTA to raise money for the school to invest in crucial areas.

Chris Perry, Headteacher, said: "This will be a fantastic afternoon - our Summer Fair is always a very popular event in the school calendar. We invite everyone in the local community to come along and join the seaside fun. The money raised really does make a difference to the children in our school."

There will be plenty to keep the children busy with donkey rides, a children's entertainer, Premier FC, giant inflatable slide and bouncy castle, hook a duck, face painting, games and crafts.

Everyone can enjoy food from the BBQ and parents can indulge in a refreshing glass of Bollington real ale, Pimms or bubbles from the bar - and what seaside scene would be complete without ice cream!

Thanks to the generous support of local businesses, there are also some fantastic raffle prizes to be won.

The fair takes place on Saturday 18th July from 2.30pm to 5.30pm and everyone is welcome.

Entry is £2 for adults, entry is free for children.
