Hockey: Two girls selected to represent England U16s again this summer

Alderley Edge Hockey Club Women's 1st team players Jenni Park and Lily Wolstenholme have been selected to represent England U16 Girls again this summer.

They will play against Belgium in a three match series closely followed by the 6 Nations Tournament in Bremen, Germany. A busy schedule of 8 games in 15 days.

The girls have been playing for the first team at Alderley Edge and represented the club's Under 16's girls team that reached the England Hockey Board National Club Finals last season.

Alderley's Edge's Head Women's coach John Bell is delighted with their selection. He said "We hope this is just the beginning of two very successful International careers. The girls are products of our the Edge Youth Academy and have worked very hard in training sessions, camps and competitions to gain selection."

After a busy summer of hockey the girls will return to league action for Alderley Edge Hockey Club. With a number of new quality players joining the club, sights are firmly set on a big push for promotion.

The Club will be running 6 women's teams and eight men's sides this coming season along with many junior age group teams.
